Stamping machinery has become an important component of manufacturing industry development and is closely related to the development of the automotive industry. In the complete vehicle production of automobiles, stamping, welding, painting, and assembly are collectively referred to as the four major processes of automobile production. Automobile metal sheet stamping parts account for over 40% of automobile components, indicating the significant role of stamping process equipment in the automotive industry. Metal sheet stamping can be roughly divided into three categories: body cover parts, body structural parts, and small and medium-sized stamping parts. Body cover parts and body structural parts are components that maintain the shape of the vehicle body, such as doors, roof panels, side panels, engine compartments, and trunk lids, and are the main parts of metal sheet stamping. The stamping production line for manufacturing body cover parts is undoubtedly the most important stamping process equipment. The production planning, connection integration control and hardware facilities related technologies of the production line are the greatest manifestation of stamping technology strength.
Since undertaking Toyota's automobile stamping production line in 1986, Chin Fong has planned and built dozens of large-scale automated stamping production lines for several well-known automobile manufacturers. Through technical exchanges, integration, and innovative research and development with countries such as Europe and Japan, and with years of accumulated experience, Chin Fong currently has the planning and manufacturing capability of A0 line mechanical automated stamping production lines with a stamping capacity of 54,000 KN. Its customers include well-known automobile manufacturers such as Toyota, Ford, Honda, Nissan, and others, and its quality has been highly recognized by manufacturers.
In general planning for automobile tandem stamping production lines, the first process is stretch forming, followed by trimming, punching, and other processes. For an A0-level production line, the arrangement of stamping equipment is 2400 tons, 800 tons, 800 tons, and 800 tons. In order to improve production efficiency, Chin Fong has planned to replace the traditional hydraulic presses with a link motion long-stroke press as the first machine. While hydraulic presses have the advantage of slow-speed stretch forming, their capacity is limited by the hydraulic system and cannot be effectively increased. By adopting a link motion mechanism for the stamping drive system, the operating processing area approaches the work piece at a slower speed, ensuring stable forming speed, prolonged contact time, and faster return speed in non-operating areas, among other special motion curve designs. This design preserves the characteristics of constant-speed stretching during material forming, effectively increasing capacity by 30-40% compared to hydraulic presses. This operation planning is currently the most widely used method. Chin Fong's current stamping production line capacity planning combines peripheral system integration, achieving a production capacity of 8-12 cycles per minute.
In addition to the stamping equipment, the main equipment of the automobile stamping production line includes material stacker and de-stacker, centering unit, washing unit, moving conveyor, moving bolster, robot, electromechanical integration units connecting all mechanical devices, and control operation systems. The technologies applied include stamping equipment manufacturing, automation connectivity, robotic arm control, machine sensing, and remote monitoring. The automated integrated control module includes stacking control, de-stacking control, cleaning control, positioning control, feeding control, picking control, and automatic die change control (A.D.C.), among other items. The planning technology for a stamping production line involves the planning and integration control of all production equipment. Chin Fong has perfected its extensive experience in hardware facility technology and software integration technology over the years.
The automotive industry is aligning with the trend of green energy and environmental protection by focusing on lightweight product development. The use of materials like lightweight alloys and high-tensile steel plates in automotive products is increasing steadily, representing an irreversible trend. However, the current stamping equipment used for these materials faces challenges in achieving the required production processes and techniques. To address this, the development of servo stamping equipment has been initiated. Chin Fong is actively investing in the research and development of a new generation of large-scale servo stamping equipment and applications to develop servo-driven automotive stamping production lines, in response to market demands and process technology trends.
